What we learned from our latest cybersecurity webinar.

In our recent webinar, Cybersecurity in 2026: Expert Insights on What’s Coming Next, we asked attendees a few simple questions.

The goal was to understand how organisations are currently thinking about future cyber risk.

The results were telling.

What we asked

We focused on three areas:

  • How prepared organisations feel for the cyber threats of 2026.
  • Whether they have visibility into SaaS usage.
  • What concerns them most about AI-driven threats.

What we learned

  1. Confidence is high

50% of attendees said they feel very prepared for the cyber threats of 2026.
The remaining 50% said they feel somewhat prepared.

At first glance, this suggests a strong level of confidence across organisations.

  1. Visibility is not

When asked about SaaS usage:

  • 50% said they fully track applications.
  • 50% said they rely on rough estimates.

This is where things start to shift.

Many organisations feel prepared, but do not have full visibility into the tools being used across their environment.

  1. AI risks are already front of mind

The biggest concerns were:

  • Phishing and impersonation.
  • Data leakage.

This aligns with what we are seeing more broadly. AI is not a future problem. It is already shaping how attacks are executed today.

The gap that matters

There is a clear pattern.

Confidence is growing.
Visibility is not.

That gap is where risk builds.

Without a clear view of SaaS usage and user behaviour, organisations are exposed to:

  • Shadow IT and shadow AI.
  • Misconfigurations.
  • Data leakage through unmanaged tools.

What this means for 2026

The organisations that will be best prepared are not necessarily those with more tools.

They are the ones that:

  • Understand what is being used.
  • Have visibility across their environment.
  • Can act before issues become incidents.
